Virus Particles Information

Cat. No. VNTV-2
Description Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV)-derived anterograde polysynaptic neuronal tracer expressing the red fluorescent protein mCherry. The native VSV G glycoprotein enables selective anterograde transneuronal transport, allowing the virus to replicate in starter neurons and propagate across multiple synapses in the anterograde direction, labeling downstream output circuits in the red channel with high brightness and excellent spectral separation from EGFP/GFP-labeled counterstains.
Product Type Vesicular stomatitis virus
Reporter mCherry
Synaptic Transmission Multi-synaptic (Polysynaptic)
Applications
  1. Anterograde multi-synaptic neuronal tracing in the red fluorescence channel
  2. Dual-color experiments combined with EGFP/GCaMP-labeled anterograde or retrograde tracers
  3. Mapping brain-wide output networks
  4. Rapid anterograde labeling with fast replication kinetics
  5. Studies in rodents, fish, birds, and non-human primates.
