Gene Information

Cat. No. OE-PNDC000496
Description Human VIPR2 nanodisc contains full length human VIPR2 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human VIPR2 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human VIPR2 membrane protein.
Gene Abbr VIPR2
Gene Name VIPR2
Species Human
Gene Species Human
Tag C-Flag tag and Strep Tag
Features 1) Full-length membrane protein
2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications
3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein
4) Possessing high solubility and stability

Target Gene VIPR2
Background This gene encodes a receptor for vasoactive intestinal peptide, a small neuropeptide. Vasoactive intestinal peptide is involved in smooth muscle relaxation, exocrine and endocrine secretion, and water and ion flux in lung and intestinal epithelia. Its actions are effected through integral membrane receptors associated with a guanine nucleotide binding protein which activates adenylate cyclase. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
