The following safety precautions should be observed. 1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum. 2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line. 3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab. 4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells. 5. All waste should be considered hazardous. 6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach. |

| Target Gene | PRPF40B |
| Background | This gene encodes a WW-domain containing protein similar to yeast splicing factor PRP40. This protein has been shown to interact with Huntingtin and methyl CpG binding protein 2 (MeCP2). Alternative splicing results in different transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2014] |
Precursor mRNA Processing Factor 40 Homolog B (also known as PRPF40B) is a fundamental component of the human biological system, performing crucial regulatory protein functions across a wide range of physiological and pathological contexts. PRPF40B is a nuclear protein involved in the early stages of precursor mRNA splicing. This protein contains multiple WW domains, which facilitate protein-protein interactions within the spliceosome complex. PRPF40B has been identified as an interacting partner of huntingtin; this suggests that it may play a potential role in the pathogenic mechanisms of Huntington''s disease by regulating RNA processing within neurons. Its function is critical for the proper assembly of the U1 snRNP and the recognition of 5'' splice sites, making it a key subject of investigation in the fields of splicing regulation and the mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases.
The Human PRPF40B Stable Cell Line – HeLa is a high-performance cellular model designed to provide a robust and scalable platform for cutting-edge biomedical research and drug discovery. This product utilizes the human HeLa epithelial cell line, derived from cervical cancer, which is renowned for its rapid growth characteristics and its extensive application in the fields of molecular biology and splicing research. By stably integrating the human PRPF40B transgene sequence into the host cell genome, this product ensures consistent and uniform levels of gene expression, even after multiple generations of cell culture. The Human PRPF40B Stable Cell Line – HeLa is particularly well-suited for signal transduction analyses, studies on ligand-binding kinetics, and various phenotypic functional assays—including those assessing cell proliferation, apoptosis, and migration.
