Gene Information

Cat. No. OE-PNDC000279
Description Human MCOLN3 nanodisc contains full length human MCOLN3 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human MCOLN3 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human MCOLN3 membrane protein.
Gene Abbr MCOLN3
Gene Name MCOLN3
Species Human
Gene Species Human
Tag C-Flag tag and Strep Tag
Features 1) Full-length membrane protein
2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications
3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein
4) Possessing high solubility and stability
5) High purity determined by HPLC
6) No detergents need to be added in subsequent experiments, and it can be directly applied to cytological analysis
Applications 1) Studying protein structure and function: Understanding the structure and activity of membrane proteins in a native-like environment.
2) Studying protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions: Analyzing how membrane proteins interact with other molecules, such as antibodies or other proteins.
3) Drug discovery: Identifying and characterizing potential drug candidates that target membrane proteins.
4) Developing antibodies: Screening and characterizing antibodies that bind to membrane proteins.
Format Lyophilized protein
Expression System Mammalian expression system
Note For Research Use Only.
Storage Store at -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within one month, aliquot and store at -80°C. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.
Shipping Lyophilized proteins are shipped under ambient temperature conditions.
Target Gene MCOLN3
Background This gene encodes one of members of the mucolipin cation channel proteins. Mutation studies of the highly similar protein in mice have shown that the protein is found in cochlea hair cells, and mutant mice show early-onset hearing loss and balance problems. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]
