Gene Information

Cat. No. OE-PNDC000408
Description Human FXYD4 nanodisc contains full length human FXYD4 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human FXYD4 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human FXYD4 membrane protein.
Gene Abbr FXYD4
Gene Name FXYD4
Species Human
Gene Species Human
Tag C-Flag tag and Strep Tag
Features 1) Full-length membrane protein
2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications
3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein
4) Possessing high solubility and stability
5) High purity determined by HPLC
6) No detergents need to be added in subsequent experiments, and it can be directly applied to cytological analysis
Applications 1) Studying protein structure and function: Understanding the structure and activity of membrane proteins in a native-like environment.
2) Studying protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions: Analyzing how membrane proteins interact with other molecules, such as antibodies or other proteins.
3) Drug discovery: Identifying and characterizing potential drug candidates that target membrane proteins.
4) Developing antibodies: Screening and characterizing antibodies that bind to membrane proteins.

Target Gene FXYD4
Background This gene encodes a member of a family of small membrane proteins that share a 35-amino acid signature sequence domain, beginning with the sequence PFXYD and containing 7 invariant and 6 highly conserved amino acids. The approved human gene nomenclature for the family is FXYD-domain containing ion transport regulator. FXYD4, originally named CHIF for channel-inducing factor, has been shown to modulate the properties of the Na,K-ATPase, as has FXYD2, also known as the gamma subunit of the Na,K-ATPase, and FXYD7. Transmembrane topology has been established for FXYD4 and two family members (FXYD1 and FXYD2), with the N-terminus extracellular and the C-terminus on the cytoplasmic side of the membrane. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
