Gene Information

Cat. No. OE-PNDC000006
Description Human ABCG1 nanodisc contains full length human ABCG1 protein that is produced from HEK293 cells. Our nanodisc platform employs the mammalian expression system, which ensures that the Human ABCG1 protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications, while maintaining exceptional solubility and stability. This nanodisc is an optimal tool for investigating the Human ABCG1 membrane protein.
Gene Abbr ABCG1
Gene Name ABCG1
Species Human
Gene Species Human
Tag C-Flag tag
Features 1) Full-length membrane protein
2) Utilizing a mammalian expression system to ensure that the protein closely resembles its native counterpart in terms of structure, function, and post-translational modifications
3) Maintaining the native spatial conformation and activity of the membrane protein
4) Possessing high solubility and stability
5) High purity determined by HPLC
6) No detergents need to be added in subsequent experiments, and it can be directly applied to cytological analysis
Applications 1) Studying protein structure and function: Understanding the structure and activity of membrane proteins in a native-like environment.
2) Studying protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions: Analyzing how membrane proteins interact with other molecules, such as antibodies or other proteins.
3) Drug discovery: Identifying and characterizing potential drug candidates that target membrane proteins.
4) Developing antibodies: Screening and characterizing antibodies that bind to membrane proteins.

Target Gene ABCG1
Background The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the White subfamily. It is involved in macrophage cholesterol and phospholipids transport, and may regulate cellular lipid homeostasis in other cell types. Six alternative splice variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
