Cat. No. CSC-RR00973
Description 22RV1-GFP/Luc cell line is engineered to co-express GFP and luciferase reporter genes in 22RV1 cells. GFP and luciferase are useful biomarkers and are widely used in cell research to label and monitor various types of cells. This cell line is a powerful tool in both fluorescent and bioluminescent tracking of 22RV1 cells.

Safety Considerations The following safety precautions should be observed.
1. Use pipette aids to prevent ingestion and keep aerosols down to a minimum.
2. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling the stable line.
3. Wash hands after handling the stable line and before leaving the lab.
4. Decontaminate work surface with disinfectant or 70% ethanol before and after working with stable cells.
5. All waste should be considered hazardous.
6. Dispose of all liquid waste after each experiment and treat with bleach.

Dual-reporter power for in vitro and in vivo work

The dual GFP/Luc reporter in the 22RV1 cell line is exactly what we needed for our prostate cancer xenograft studies. GFP allows us to monitor cell morphology and distribution in real time under fluorescence microscopy, while luciferase enables non-invasive in vivo bioluminescence imaging. The cells arrived healthy and expanded readily. Truly a versatile and cost-effective tool.
