Creative Biogene ensures high-quality adenovirus particles by optimizing and standardizing production protocols and performing stringent quality control (QC). The specific QC experiments performed vary between adenovirus particle lots.
Endotoxin Endotoxins, primarily derived from Gram-negative bacteria, can trigger adverse immune responses. Endotoxin contamination is a significant concern in adenovirus production, especially for applications in animal studies and gene therapy. Creative Biogene utilizes rigorous endotoxin detection methods to monitor the endotoxin level in our produced adenovirus particles to ensure regulatory compliance.
Sterility Creative Biogene ensures that adenovirus products are free of any bacterial, fungal and other microbial contamination.
Ad5 E1 Detection All Creative Biogene adenoviruses are PCR tested to ensure that there are no detectable E1 sequences in the particles, which could be from revertants or external E1 contamination.
RCA Assays Adenovirus products originating at Creative Biogene are guaranteed to have undetectable replication-competent adenovirus (RCA). This quality control measure is important because there is always the possibility of wild-type contamination due to revertants or environmental sources.
PFU Titering All purified adenovirus preparations are tested for infectious titer. Creative Biogene's PFU test takes a few days longer but counts true plaques in HEK cells rather than estimating PFU titers via IHC staining or TCI50 of infected cells.

Customer Reviews

The acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF) adenovirus is a recombinant viral vector designed to deliver the aFGF gene to target cells for therapeutic or research purposes. Adenovirus is a nonenveloped, double-stranded DNA virus widely used in gene therapy due to its high transduction efficiency, broad tissue tropism, and ability to infect both dividing and non-dividing cells. The aFGF gene encodes a potent mitogenic protein that plays a key role in cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and tissue repair. By integrating the aFGF gene into the adenoviral backbone, this construct enables efficient transient expression of aFGF in vitro and in vivo. The adenoviral delivery system is particularly advantageous for short-term gene expression because it does not integrate into the host genome, minimizing the risk of insertional mutagenesis.

The aFGF adenovirus has broad applications in regenerative medicine, cardiovascular research, and wound healing. In regenerative medicine, it promotes tissue repair by stimulating the proliferation of fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and keratinocytes, making it valuable in the treatment of chronic wounds, burns, and diabetic ulcers. In cardiovascular research, aFGF adenovirus can be used to induce angiogenesis in ischemic tissues, providing a potential therapeutic strategy for coronary artery disease and peripheral arterial disease. Preclinical studies have shown that aFGF adenovirus can promote angiogenesis and improve tissue perfusion in animal models. Furthermore, aFGF adenovirus can be used as a tool in developmental biology to study the mechanisms of cell growth and differentiation.
