A: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a component of the outer wall of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. It is a substance composed of lipids and polysaccharides (glycolipids).
A: Lipopolysaccharides consist of an antigen O-specific chain, a core oligosaccharide and lipid A.
A: LPS has thermal stability and chemical stability, which cannot be inactivated by ordinary autoclave or dry heat sterilization. To inactivate it, it needs to be heated at 250 ℃ for 30 minutes.
