| Description |
The Food Microbial DNA Kit is designed to isolate high-quality genomic DNA from food cultured microorganisms. The Food Microbial DNA Kit stands out from other commercial food kits with its easy-to- remove PCR-inhibiting compounds associated with food cultures, including lipids and polysaccharides. The kit's buffers provide high quality, inhibitor-free DNA for use in downstream applications including PCR, qPCR and genotyping. Food samples examined using the Food Microbial DNA Kit include meats, cheeses and dairy products, chocolate, fruits, vegetables, and juices. Food pathogen DNA isolated from the following organisms was shown to be PCR inhibitor free: Clostridium difficile, Clostridium perfringens, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Lactobacillus sp, Listeria monocytogenes, and Salmonella enterica. |
