Senior Scientist, Genome Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the execution of a novel strategy for genomic modulation of ex vivo cell populations.
Transversally collaborate across the company to support the building of a cell engineering portfolio in the Genomic Unit.
Support and lead development of next-generation genome editing and gene therapy tools to strongly position Creative Biogene as a leader in ex vivo gene therapy space.
Responsible for applying scientific expertise and judgment to initiate, design and execute experiments in a time-sensitive manner.
Act as an impactful contributor to project teams and transverse initiatives.
Provide informal mentoring to junior scientists in the team.
Foster creativity, productivity, execution with a sense of urgency, scientific integrity and accountability.
Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. in biological science plus minimum 3 years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting.
Genome editing and/or gene therapy experience with ex vivo immune cell populations (such as T- and NK-cells) preferred.
Experienced, results-oriented, with a track record of significant contribution to research projects and peer-reviewed publications.
Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute, interpret and present experimental results.
Experience in preparing high-quality documents including technical reports, presentations, SOPs, experimental protocols and regulatory filings.
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced industry and work environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
