This product is the recombinant Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 nuclease fused with NLS at C-terminal and N-terminal which is purified from E.coli. The spCas9 nuclease can be used for gene editing by inducing double-strand breaks in genomic DNA. Combining with guide RNA, spCas9 targets to specific site of genome and leads to DNA breaks within 3 bases from the NGG PAM (Protospacer Adjacent Motif).
